DOG FOOD - BLACK COMEDY/DRAMA

My name is Flex and I have no shame in admitting I’m a lost soul. In fact, no, my soul wasn’t lost, it was stolen from me and like most victims of crime I knew my offender. It was during another battle of the bands contest and we had just put in a faultless performance only to be stripped of our crown by a feeble punk trio named Hell Dust. In hindsight it might have been a slight over reaction to storm the stage and steal the prize money, but it was the only way out of the pit of despair that I found myself in. My band, yet hugely dysfunctional are loyal till the end and didn’t think twice about joining me. Fuelled by a healthy supply of drugs and the hope of self discovery we took off in our inconspicuous bright orange campervan. It was a journey that would see us murder a hitchhiker, have an orgy with a grandma and witness the twenty-four hour pregnancy of a hooker called Krystal. Despite all these distractions I knew it was only a matter of time before Hell Dust caught up with us. Worse still I also knew what they would do when they did. Yet, to steal a line from The Hollies, ‘The road is long’, I can only hope it is long enough to find myself before Hell Dust finds me.

BENEATH THE BARK - SUPERNATURAL THRILLER

The town of Willowbeck has tasted fame. Its woods began to scream. Haunting, otherworldly screams which seemingly had no origin. As quickly as the phenomenon started, it stopped, as did the nation’s attention.

This should have been the end of the story until the belated arrival of local reporter Kimberly Phillips. It turns out that she isn’t the only one who refuses to let these events fade into local legend. A force is close by, always one step ahead and leaving clues for the struggling journalist.

Meanwhile, two high school students are creating their own front page story. A revenge plot against class bully, Marty, has gone badly wrong and blood has been spilt. The only place to hide is the dense woodlands of Willowbeck.

This is where the two stories collide with life altering results. The secret of the woods will soon be unearthed, but how long will it take Kimberly to realize that the screams she has been agonizing over are actually her own?
