Calvin Field was born on the 20th November 1980 in Warwickshire, England. Initially training to be an engineer, it wasn’t until he finished college that he fully discovered writing. After trying his hand at novels and poetry he eventually stumbled across screenwriting during a module of a creative writing course. It was a form of writing that he bonded with instantly and his casual hobby escalated to career opportunity. His dark style of writing is fuelled by a passion for horror movies. Inspired by the genre greats, like Wes Craven and David Cronenberg, he began building up a portfolio of short and feature scripts. In 2006 he set up a website to showcase his work and allowed him to reach out to the international market. ‘Love Sick’ followed ‘The Janitor’s Office’ to be his first produced pieces of work and talks are already underway for 2007 to see his first feature go in front of the cameras. The future will see Calvin continue to write and keep an eye out for every opportunity that might creep crawl or sliver his way.
